E. Communion Service

The work of the Communion Service Ministry is to lead the people in the liturgy of the word and the sharing of communion. The service follows the prayers and reading from the first part of the Mass, with a reflection on the message in the day’s gospel or other scripture.

The communion service minister also distributes communion using the sacred hosts that were consecrated at an earlier Mass. The communion service is held on Wednesdays at 9 am.

 H. Homebound Ministry

The mission of the homebound ministry at St. Anthony de Padua is to bring Jesus, both in the Eucharist and in the gift of our presence to our sisters and brothers in the community who are unable to be present at the Eucharistic table because of illness or disability. This extends to those in nursing homes, retirement centers, hospitals, or private homes –wherever this need is present.

We try to meet two times a year with the Pastor, so that the members can discuss and share any situations or ideas that can improve our ministry. Please call the rectory if you are unable to attend Mass and would like to receive the Eucharist.
